Trainee Solicitor goes the the extra-mile to raise money for Mary Stevens Hospice
Posted on November 16th 2021WJC Trainee Solicitor, Harry Browne has raised an incredible £822 for Mary Stevens Hospice.
After months of training, Harry took part in the 2021 Manchester Marathon on Sunday October 10, and completed the 26.2-mile route in an impressive 3 hours-and-31-minutes.
Harry, who is currently working in the Private Client department, collected sponsorship money from colleagues, supportive family and friends, as well as organising a charity raffle and bake sale at the office to boost his fundraising efforts.
The firm has a long-standing relationship with Mary Stevens Hospice and were delighted that Harry chose to fundraise for a charity so integral to the local community in providing free palliative care to families.
Reflecting on his achievements, Harry said: “I can’t believe I’ve run a marathon. After months of training, the early starts and late nights were certainly worth it. I’m thrilled to have raised so much for such a great cause and would like to thank everyone who has kindly donated. I’ve already signed up to some more endurance events for next year so can’t wait to do some more charity fundraising.”
