Dudley Tweetup - sponsored by Wall James Chappell
Posted on November 4th 2013Dudley Tweetup is a free monthly social event. It provides a platform for you to meet people socially including members of the community, local business owners, business leaders, action groups, clubs, organisations or affords you the simple opportunity of just making new friends where you can have a good time and laugh in a relaxed, informal environment.
Wall James Chappell are proud to be the main sponsors of the event.
When and where is it held?
It's always held at The Copthorne Hotel near Merry Hill, Dudley on a monthly basis. Meetings run from 6.30pm until 9pm, although you are more than welcome to hang around and enjoy the facilities at The Copthorne.
Are there any requirements for attendance?
The general requirements are that you live in or around Dudley, that you use Twitter, are respectful of others (regardless of social class, status, upbringing, race, disability or gender) and most importantly of all, you want to create a better local community and environment where we can all live peacefully. However, the first two are not strict guidelines, so if you just work in (or are visiting) Dudley, or you're interested in Twitter but don't use it, then feel free to come along - the emphasis is on being social, not being recruited into a select group. In summary, we are seeking good thinking people with old fashioned values who want to work together to make a difference for the local area.
Does it cost anything to attend?
No, it's free to attend - we meet at the Copthorne, so as there's no hiring fees or anything there's no cost to the organisers. The only cost to you is your time and any refreshments you may want, we just ask that you bring a smile.
What is the format of the Tweetups?
Our timings will be:
6.30pm - 7.00pm: Registration
7.00pm - 8.00pm: Social networking
8.00pm - 8.20pm: Guest speaker

What do I do when I arrive?
You will be met by our registration team who will provide you with your name badge, make your way to the bar and grab yourself a drink, then introduce yourself and get stuck in! Chances are you'll know a few people, by Twitter username if not in person, so you're not alone. You stay until you want or have to leave. Remember to pick up your FREE goodie bag before you leave.
I would like to come! How do I let you know?
If you're on Twitter already then follow @dudleytweetup. Once we announce the date of the next TweetUp just tweet us a 'Yes' reply to our message and we'll book you in. Alternatively feel free to let us know via the booking page on this website. We will then be able to track who's coming and who can't make it.
